LogiKal is the estimating, design and production software behind the windows, doors and curtain walling BEWS delivers. It carries a project from the first tender figure through to fabrication information, so the package you are quoted is the package we build.
One System Behind The Whole Project
Windows, doors and façades pass through several hands between enquiry and installation, and most problems begin where information is re-entered. LogiKal removes that gap: the element we price is the element we draw, check and prepare for production.
The software is developed and supplied by Forterro Logikal. BEWS is a user of the platform, not a supplier of it — the notes below separate what the software does from how we apply it.
The Platform
Established window, door and façade software, used across the industry for calculation, design and production.
- A manufacturer-independent platform, working across profile, ironmongery and accessory ranges rather than a single system
- Material and labour content calculated as the design is built, giving an estimating figure tied to the actual elements
- Automated plausibility and system checks carried out at each stage of the design

The Project Workflow
Five stages, one data set. Each stage builds on the last without the information being rebuilt, which is where accuracy and programme are won or lost on an envelope package.
Estimating & Pricing
Elements are measured and built up in the software, so the material and labour content behind a tender figure comes from real geometry rather than an allowance. Options, alternates and specification changes can be priced quickly while the design is still moving.
System Design & Coordination
Windows, doors, curtain walling and bespoke elements are configured against the profile system specified for the project. Setting-out, sightlines and interface zones are resolved in the model, so the envelope geometry we design matches the architectural intent around it.
Validation & Compliance Checks
The software runs plausibility and system checks as the design develops, flagging elements that conflict with the manufacturer's system rules or the project specification. We close these out before information is released, rather than discovering them on site.
Drawings & Project Information
Construction and installation drawings, schedules and element data are issued from the same design file, so what is drawn, scheduled and ordered stays consistent. Previous versions remain available for comparison as the project evolves and variations are introduced.
Production Preparation
Once the design is approved, the element data is carried through to production planning and workshop information, prepared in the file formats our fabrication and supply chain partners work to.
